The economy is improving and organizations that stopped investing in their employees during the downturn may be in trouble. Washington State wants to help your business grow and invest in the skills of your workforce through the Job Skills Program (JSP) and the Customized Training Program (CTP). Essentially what that means is:
Training dollars are available to help grow your business.
Job Skills Program
Up to $100,000 for your business is available to educational institutions (us) who partner with employers (you) to up-skill your workforce. The partnering employer must match the grant amount with cash or an in-kind program support (this can mean the wages of your employees while in training, machine downtime, etc…). As an alliance of Northwest Community Colleges Invista Performance Solutions is uniquely positioned to help businesses access this funding -The Invista team will complete the application process and administer the training with client companies.
Partnering with Invista, a local aerospace supplier was able to increase their business to a 15% growth year over year as well as increase their parts-per-hour by 40%. This was done through leadership and continuous improvement programming customized to the organization and delivered by Invista totaling approximately 200 hours of training.
Customized Training Program
With the CTP, the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) pays the costs up front for customized training and in repaying the loan organizations are eligible to receive a B&O tax credit of up to 50%.
