Breaking News! Now is the time to start planning for your future employee development programming.  Funds are becoming available to offset your company training costs through the Job Skills Program (JSP) matching grant. The funds are for companies who need customized training and development for their workers and administered through your local community and technical colleges.

How does this work? Your company works directly with us,  Invista Performance Solutions, a partnership of your local colleges and we bring out industry expert trainers and consultants to plan with you at no cost. We consult with you to identify your training needs and craft a training solution. You can also use this funding for your own selected consultants and existing programming.

We write your application for you!  Then we apply for the grant on your behalf and funding is released upon approval. The total amount of your trainee payroll paid during training hours is the company “match” and is applied to the cost of the training.  Your paid wages need to cover the project expenses at 100%.  There may be a small percentage of cash required as a down payment on your JSP grant.

Small Businesses get a special advantage!  Businesses of all sizes can benefit from the JSP grant but those with an annual gross revenue under $500K have an exemption to 100% matching requirements–your wages do not have to equal 100%; you only have to agree to pay your employees while in training.  It’s a great opportunity for a small business, too.

Huge Success for Pierce County businesses!  During last two fiscal years we have secured over $1.3M in funding for 17 companies in WA State including Rainier Woodworking, Plumb Signs, Heritage Distillery, Tool Gauge, GlobalTech Plastics, Celebrity Gourmet, Berry Global, and Wilcox Farms.  We have worked with organizations across many sectors: logistics and distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, social services and non profits, landscaping and construction, and food production.

What Types of Training does the JSP fund?  All types of On-Site Training Programs–Lean and Process Improvement, Sales, Respectful Communication, Leadership and Supervisory Skills, Management Development, Computer Skills, ESL, Shop Math, Technical and Industrial Manufacturing Skills, Marine Welding and Electrical, ERP and Systems Training and more.  Let’s discuss your specific needs.  We can even deliver college credit and certificate courses directly to your employees.

Grant applications will be opening this Spring 2021 for training programs to start by July 1st, 2021.
