Whether you operate a manufacturing facility, or operate in an office environment, we work with you to identify your core processes, standard operating procedures, opportunities for waste reduction, and set metrics for increased productivity. The key to real business performance improvement is in practicing and integrating the concepts of process improvement into the actual business.
Using our project-based approach, we partner with you to design training experiences that give employees the skills to achieve real performance targets.
Post-training consulting and project management ensures that your teams are working together on the job. We supply an industry expert to guide your employees through the process.
Lean Training and Consulting
The philosophy of “LEAN” considers the expenditure of resources for any goal other than the creation of value for the end customer to be wasteful, and thus a target for elimination. LEAN considers value to be anything that will add to the customer experience, and seeks to remove any excess activities that do not improve the final product. Our courses in LEAN principles and practices will help your organization become more efficient and create better value for your customer.
Our LEAN training has helped past clients to see greatly improved efficiency and dramatic cost savings. We were able to show a “K-cup” manufacturer an increase in production of over two million units a year and show a glass manufacturer how to save over $90,000/year in cost savings through more efficient processes.
Six Sigma Training
Six-Sigma is a set of tools and techniques/strategies for process improvement originally developed by Motorola in 1981. Six-Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization (“Champions”, “Black Belts”, “Green Belts”, “Yellow Belts”, etc.) who are experts in the methods.
Most Six-Sigma projects follow the DMAIC project methodology, which breaks down into Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Using the Six-Sigma concepts you and your employees can improve your outputs across all steps in the process, and experience cost savings from a decrease in both defects and errors. Invista Performance Solutions has access to industry experts who can get you and your company on the right path, and following the Six-Sigma methodologies to success and improved business practices. We can help you lead a team of Champions!
