The core of Invista Performance Solutions (IPS) and who we are really lies within our many talented and skilled instructors. Each one of our valued instructors brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that is beneficial to our clients depending on what your organizational needs are.
Landon Johnson is a self-motivated and dynamic professional with over 25 years of experience as an educator and facilitator. Landon is an accomplished technical author who has developed and implemented numerous technical programs and curricula for both schools and businesses. He has an extensive background in customer satisfaction, winning the prestigious ‘Beacon Award’ for customer service and communication. In addition, Landon received a ‘Visionary’ award from HHC Services for being the first to implement a formal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Certification in private for-profit postsecondary education. He is skilled at working in a rapidly changing environment with limited resources. Landon is able and eager to deliver a memorable presentation on nearly any topic with little notice.
Most recently, Landon worked with IPS customer, Tacoma Public Schools delivering the “Customer Service CONNECT” training program which was innovative in the way that it targeted organizational culture modification, not just skills trainings. Following these trainings, IPS delivered a Train the Trainer for the CONNECT program, and Landon was instrumental in the design and delivery phases. Landon implemented the curriculum with his own unique teaching style – using real-life scenarios that the participants could relate to and in return received impressive scores from the post-training evaluations. This is a direct reflection of Landon’s dynamic facilitation.
Landon has always been passionate about the importance of really listening to our clients and addressing their needs saying, “Before being derailed onto my current career path, I was a symphony orchestra musician and have performed many a time in that capacity. From these experiences I learned how to contribute as a member of a team (sometimes by doing nothing), how to lead when called upon, and most importantly that success is found more through listening than anything else.”
His credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University. Landon has also co-authored a textbook on the 2008 National Electrical Code.
